In a recent press release, CrossFit, Inc. has stated that the 2019 Wodapalooza Fitness Festival will serve as a qualifier (sanctioned event) for the 2019 Reebok CrossFit Games. This announcement marks Wodapalooza as the seventh qualifier to be named out of the prospective 16 that will take place across the globe.
Every year, the Wodapalooza Fitness Festival takes place in Miami, Florida and attracts strength athletes from all walks of life. This announcement makes the Wodapalooza the third qualifier to be taking place in the United States.
In the press release CrossFit Founder and Chairman Greg Glassman said, “Wodapalooza brings its distinctive character and culture to the CrossFit Games season. They figured out that Miami in winter – sun, bathing suits, balconies, and bright lights at night – is a world-class destination for showcasing the fittest and healthiest people on earth. It’s a party.”
Similar to the other 2019 Reebok CrossFit Games qualifying events, winners in the individual men’s, women’s, and team divisions will stamp their ticket to the 2019 CrossFit Games.
Matt O’Keefe, President of Loud and Live Sports (a division of Loud and Live, Inc., owner of Wodapalooza) added in the press release, “This partnership represents a new chapter in our history, and we look forward to working with CrossFit to continue bringing our partners, spectators, and competing athletes an unforgettable event and competition in January.”
