Going into the third edition of the Wellness Olympia, the only champion in the division’s history wanted to keep it that way. The rest of the field wants to hear Olympia announcer Bob Cicherillo announce “and new” before their name to be crowned champion.
Two-time titleholder Francielle Mattos was joined by the last two Fitness International winners, Isabelle Nunes (2022) and Kassandra Gillis (2023), as well as the rest of the world’s best in this division on Nov. 3, 2023, in Orlando, FL, to start the final prejudging session of the day. Expeditor Tony Roberts led the ladies out for their numerical comparisons, followed by individual introductions. Then it was time for callouts, which went as follows:

Fans stood and screamed behind the seated area for their favorites. The defending champion Mattos received the loudest ovation from the fans. Mattos was compared with 2022 runner-up Isabelle Nunes in the center of the opening callout, which went for two comparisons. That same duo were in the final callout — the favorites for the overall win in the evening finals.
The finals are set to take place on Friday night, Nov. 3 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. BarBend’s coverage of the 2023 Olympia continues throughout the weekend. The action is available to watch live on pay-per-view on the Olympia Productions website.
2023 Olympia Weekend
Earlier in the morning on Nov. 3, 2023, the Fitness division opened the Olympia prejudging. The defending champion, Missy Truscott, was in the final callout alongside Ariel Khadr, Jodi Boam, and Whitney Jones. After that, the 212 Olympia prejudging took the stage and culminated with defending champion Shaun Clarida and Keone Pearson in the final callout.
The Figure division saw its six-time defending champion, Cydney Gillon, hold a center spot in the first and last callouts. Women’s Physique prejudging boiled down to a rematch between defending champion Natalia Abraham Coelho and former two-time champion Sarah Villegas in the final callout. The Ms. Olympia prejudging similarly came down to a 2022 rematch in the final callout between defending champion Andrea Shaw and Angela Yeo.
The only prejudging round left on Friday was Mr. Olympia, which is scheduled to follow the finals for each of the already prejudged divisions. Mr. Olympia will be crowned on Saturday, as will champions for Men’s Physique, Classic Physique, Bikini, and Men’s Wheelchair.
