2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games
The 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games are currently scheduled for Aug. 24 through Sep. 5, 2021. Rostami’s new world record at 80 kilograms was the second current world record added to his name. He also holds the world record at 72 kilograms with a 229-kilograms (505-pound) lift from his gold-medal performance at the 2018 Asia Para Games in Jakarta, Indonesia. We will see if he can podium on the world’s biggest stage for Iran and perhaps call for another world record weight on the barbell.
