The 2022 United States Powerlifting Association (USPA) Hybrid Showdown 4 from Jan. 15-16, 2022, at the Hybrid Performance Method Gym in Miami, FL, was a breeding ground for world records. In addition to records scored by Blake Lehew, John Haack, and Kiersten Scurlock, Hunter Henderson, competing in the 82.5-kilogram weight class, secured a new all-time raw squat world record of 250 kilograms (551.2 pounds). It was the highlight of her silver-medal overall finish via a Dynamic Objective Team Scoring System (DOTS) score of 605.065 — 11,713 points behind champion Samantha Rice, who scored total and deadlift world records at the event. Check out Henderson’s full stats from the meet below:

- Bench Press — 150 kilograms (330.7 pounds)
- Deadlift — 250 kilograms (551.2 pounds)
- Total — 650 kilograms (1,433 pounds)*
*Editor’s note: Henderson shared her stats from the Hybrid Showdown 4 on her Instagram page in pounds with a listed total of 1,432 pounds. Given that weights during the meet used five-kilogram increments, the above weight in pounds have been rounded to the correct corresponding weight in kilograms, which results in a total of 1,433 pounds.

All-Time Raw World Record Squat
Although the Hybrid Showdown 4 scored athletes by gender across weight classes, each lifter still had to weigh in at a recognized weight category. In Henderson’s case, it was cutting down to the 82.5-kilogram class, and the water cut during her preparation to make weight was “the easiest…to date.” Getting into world record shape is all the more impressive given that Henderson competed in and won the National Physique Committee’s (NPC) USA Championship in Women’s Bodybuilding show on July 31, 2021, where she also won the overall championship and earned her IFBB Pro Card.
Henderson’s new all-time world record raw squat eclipsed the previous record of 245 kilograms (540.1 pounds) scored by Chakera Ingram at the 2018 USPA Gulf Coast Open. The 250-kilogram (551.1 -pounds) squat is three times Henderson’s bodyweight. This is the sole world record next to Henderson’s name currently. However, according to Open Powerlifting, she holds the second heaviest all-time squat and total in the 75-kilogram class — 242.5 kilograms (534.6 pounds) and 640 kilograms (1,411 pounds), respectively. Henderson’s Hybrid Showdown 4 total is the second heaviest ever at 82.5 kilograms. Ingram remains the all-time total world record holder with her 692.5-kilogram (1,526.7-pound) total.
