2023 Strongman Champions League Team World Championships Results — Ziółkowski & Roszkowski Win

The two-athlete strongman teams clashed in Kalajoki, Finland.

On June 10, 2023, the 2023 Strongman Champions League (SCL) World Team Championships pitted eight elite strongman pairs against each other in seven events. Oskar Ziółkowski and Adam Roszkowski of Poland emerged victorious with 47.5 out of a possible 64 points. Check out the final standings below:

2023 SCL Team World Championships Results

  1. Oskar Ziółkowski / Adam Roszkowski (Poland) — 47.5 points
  2. Aivars Šmaukstelis / Maris Krievelis (Latvia) — 44.5 points
  3. Ervin Toots / Gunnar Gimbutas (Estonia) — 36 points
  4. Kane Francis / Kelvin de Ruiter (UK/Netherlands) — 34 points
  5. Colten Sloan / Sean Hayes (Canada) — 28 points
  6. Mika Törrö / Jarkko Mehtälä (Finland) — 25.5 points
  7. Jordan Osborne / Tyler Helm (Australia) — 20.5 points
  8. Veli-Pekka Kauhanen / Heikki Pohjonen (Finland) — 16 points

The seven featured events were the Truck Pull, Forward Hold, Deadlift for Reps, Frame Walk, Bag Toss Medley, Two-Man Log Lift for Reps, and a Loading Race. The Polish pair finished in the top two of all but one event. The outlier was a sixth-place finish in the Forward Hold.

2023 SCL Team World Championships Event Results

Below are the results for each of the seven events contested in Finland:

Truck Pull

The Truck Pull featured an 18,000-kilogram vehicle to be pulled down a 25-meter course in the fastest time possible within the 60-second time cap:

  1. Kane Francis / Kelvin de Ruiter — 19.57 meters
  2. Oskar Ziółkowski / Adam Roszkowski — 19.38 meters
  3. Ervin Toots / Gunnar Gimbutas — 19.25 meters
  4. Aivars Šmaukstelis / Maris Krievelis — 19.21 meters 
  5. Colten Sloan / Sean Hayes — 19.2 meters
  6. Mika Törrö / Jarkko Mehtälä — 19.1 meters
  7. Veli-Pekka Kauhanen / Heikki Pohjonen — 18.31 meters
  8. Jordan Osborne / Tyler Helm — 17.8 meters

Forward Hold

With an implement weighing 28 kilograms, teams had to sustain a front hold for as long as possible.

  2. Aivars Šmaukstelis / Maris Krievelis — 78.35 seconds
  3. Mika Törrö / Jarkko Mehtälä — 77.36 seconds

Deadlift for Reps

Teams had a two-minute time cap to perform as many reps as possible of 330 kilograms.

  1. Aivars Šmaukstelis / Maris Krievelis — 21 reps
  2. Oskar Ziółkowski / Adam Roszkowski — 20 reps (T-second)
  3. Colten Sloan / Sean Hayes — 20 reps (T-second)
  4. Jordan Osborne / Tyler Helm — 17 reps
  5. Kane Francis / Kelvin de Ruiter — 15 reps
  6. Ervin Toots / Gunnar Gimbutas — 14 reps
  7. Mika Törrö / Jarkko Mehtälä — Nine reps
  8. Veli-Pekka Kauhanen / Heikki Pohjonen — Five reps

Frame Walk

Within the 75-second time cap, the strongmen walked a 320-kilogram frame back and forth along a 15-meter course for the fastest four-lap time.

Bag Toss Medley

The Bag Toss Medley had a time cap of 60 seconds and eight bags weighing 22, 22, 24, 24, 26, 26, 30, and 30 kilograms.

  2. Ervin Toots / Gunnar Gimbutas — Eight Bags, 37.44 seconds

Two-Man Log Lift for Reps

For maximum reps within 60 seconds, teams lifted a 250-kilogram log in pairs.

  1. Oskar Ziółkowski / Adam Roszkowski — 11 reps
  2. Aivars Šmaukstelis / Maris Krievelis — Nine reps (T-second)
  3. Colten Sloan / Sean Hayes — Nine reps (T-second)
  4. Ervin Toots / Gunnar Gimbutas — Eight reps
  5. Kane Francis / Kelvin de Ruiter — Six reps
  6. Mika Törrö / Jarkko Mehtälä — Five reps (T-sixth)
  7. Jordan Osborne / Tyler Helm — Five reps (T-sixth)

Loading Race

The Loading Race comprised four implements weighing 90, 100, 110, and 120 kilograms. They were loaded onto a 10-meter platform in the fastest time possible.
