What Vegan Strongman Patrik Baboumian Eats in a Day

Watch Patrik Baboumian eat over 5,000 calories of vegan food.

Strongman Patrik Baboumian’s diet looks completely different than that of your typical strongman. When most of the world’s strongest men are consuming copious amounts of meat and eggs, Baboumian could not be more different.

Baboumian is a vegan strongman, and has found success across many platforms in strength sports for several years. He was named Germany’s Strongest Man in 2011, the same year he decided to go from a vegetarian diet to completely plant-based. Since going vegan he has also racked up victories in powerlifting, like winning the European Powerlifting Championships in 2012, and also set four world records along the way.

Last week Baboumian’s diet, and accomplishments were brought up on Joe Rogan’s podcast. Rogan guested strongman Robert Oberst on his show and the two talked about Baboumian and debated his feats of strength. Baboumian had no problem clapping back at the two, and created a response YouTube video where he hit back at Rogan and Oberst.

It feels only right that a week after Baboumian was questioned for his legitimacy, that he shows off what a full day of eating looks like. Baboumian put together a video on his YouTube channel and showed himself eating over 5,000 calories of vegan food. This number is much lower than other strongmen’s diets that we’ve seen, like for example Oberst eats 8,000 calories a day.
