The 2025 World Games took place in Chengdu, China, from Aug. 7 to 17, 2025. The competition featured classic and equipped contests in four categories: Light, Middle, Heavy, and SuperHeavy.
Twenty-eight female and 25 male powerlifters competed in Chengdu. The overall best lifters calibrated by the IPF GL formula were Jurins Kengamu of the UK and Tiffany Chapon of France in Classic and Ukraine’s Kostiantyn Musiienko, and Taylor Lachapelle of the USA in Equipped.
