Event Results
Sunday Results
The final day of competition is here. It’s clear that a new Women’s and Men’s champion will be crowned, with two-time champ Justin Medeiros sitting in 14th place and nearly 300 points behind Roman Khrennikov. However, on day four, Jeffrey Adler of Canada overcame the gap between him and Khrennikov; he now leads the Russian by only two points.
Meanwhile, Emma Lawson extended her lead. Hungary’s Laura Horvath, who won the Olympic Total (Event 9) to leap over Alexis Raptis and Arielle Loewen into the runner-up position, is 23 points behind Lawson. With two events left, it’s anyone’s game.
Event 10 Results
An event win for Adler — his second in the 2023 Games — means the Canadian will sport the leader’s jersey for Event 11. He placed 32 seconds ahead of Khrennikov, who placed fourth in the event overall. Khrennikov is still very much in contention for first place, but with two unknown events ahead, and a very hungry Adler vying for his first CrossFit Games win, he’ll need to put the pedal all the way to the floor and finish strong.

Horvath won another event! The fight for first is now between her and Emma Lawson, who leads by 23 points.

Canada’s Jeffrey Adler dominated this event to claim second place on the leaderboard. And though he placed fifth, Khrennikov still maintains a 100-point lead. Unfortunately for the reigning champ, Justin Medeiros, that makes his climb from 16th to first far steeper. (But never doubt the power of the mullet.)
Alexis Raptis and Emma Lawson have been quite consistent this year, placing Lawson just 19 points ahead of Raptis, who will surrender the leader jersey tomorrow.

This quick-and-dirty WOD had the athletes race to burn a set number of calories on the ski erg and then perform a total of 50 squats with 200 pounds for the men and 125 pounds for the women.
Colten Mertens blitzed through Ski-Bag with a time of 4:30 — a minute and a half under the time cap. Also of note, Medeiros continued to ascent up the leaderboard and out of the day-one hole he dug himself with a third-place event finish.
Laura Horvath, to probably no one’s surprise, finished Ski-Bag in 4:36.18 — which is the fastest time for in the Women’s division and the third fastest time between the men and women. Horvath has a reputation for being strong. At the 2022 CrossFit Games, she finished third in the Sandbag Ladder and first in the Alpaca, two events that require bursts of power and strength.

Thursday Results
After three events, Alexis Raptis snuck into third to lead the Women and Roman Khrennikov (representing the United States) is in wearing the leader jersey. Notably, Justin Medeiros, the two-time reigning champ, sits in 23rd place after poor performances in Events 1 and 2.
CrossFit Invictus leads by three points for the Teams over CrossFit Oslo Navy Blue, 176 to 173. Because Rich Froning Jr. is now retired from Teams and Individual competition, Mayhem Freedom is out of the running, and a new Teams champion is guaranteed.
Event 1 Results
Jonne Koski is your Men’s winner and Emma Lawson of Canada won the Women’s race. Koski, of Finland, is a known entity in endurance events. He placed second in Event 1 of the 2022 CrossFit Games, a biking-based event. And the year before, Koski won the first event, a 1-mile swim with fins and a 3-mile kayak.
The biggest news of this event is 18-year-old Emma Lawson’s win. With Tia-Clair Toomey, the reigning six-time champion, out this year, a new Women’s champ is guaranteed. There’s plenty of time left, but the Canadian has made a statement by winning Test 1 of the Games. This is Lawson’s first-ever CrossFit Games event win.

Event 1 — Ride
The athletes must complete as many laps as possible in 40 minutes on a Trek Bikes Marlin 8 mountain bike. Athletes who complete lap six within 40 minutes will race for a final lap.
Event 2 Results
This ladder-style workout tested athlete’s muscular endurance, with competitors completing 270 reps of pull-ups, toes-to-bar, pig flips, and wall ball shots.
Laura Horvath put on a dominating performance, winning her heat and the overall event by nearly a full minute. Arielle Loewen and Alexis Raptis blitzed the podium after a failed pig flip attempt from Emma Cary to capture second and third place, respectively.
The battle for first and second was closer, with Russian Roman Khrennikov (representing the United States this year) besting Lazar Đukić by about 16 seconds. Canadian Brent Fikowski earned third place.

The third event of day one of Individual competition flipped the Games on its head. Athletes had to perform a combination of handstand walks, handstand push-ups, and bar pull-overs, racing to complete the workout in the fastest time possible.
Danielle Brandon, who is known to exceed in handstand events, won for the women. Cole Greashaber was the only men’s competitor to finish the event in under four minutes. Notably, Justin Medeiros, who was placed 29th in Event 1 and 37th in Event 2, propelled himself back up the leaderboard to 22nd place.
