Give your dumbbells a proper home with this durable 11-gauge steel storage rack.

REP Fitness is helping you make the most of your space with their dumbbell storage rack, which means you won’t have to leave your dumbbells laying around on the floor anymore. Available space is vital in your home gym, and the right storage equipment can allow you to work out at home without any compromises.

This dumbbell storage rack easily holds your dumbbells with a max weight of 1,000 pounds, but the footprint is relatively small compared to its competition. The 11-gauge steel makes this rack quite sturdy, the one-inch lip on each shelf secures the dumbbells in place, and the three-tier design still allows easy access to your weights. While the price tag of $210 may seem on the high end, some competitor racks cost up to $1,000. Since this is a high-quality product, we think it’s a pretty solid deal when you consider the longevity of this storage rack, and its ability to house heavy weight without dominating too much space.

Main Takeaways

  • The 11-gauge steel (which is what you’ll find in a lot of durable public gym equipment) makes this storage rack as sturdy as they come.
  • The three-tier design provides a relatively small footprint without sacrificing convenience, which means you can still find and pick up your weights with ease.
  • This storage rack can hold up to 1,000 pounds of weight.

REP Fitness Dumbbell Storage Rack Highlights

Whether you’re looking to load up your rack with heavy dumbbells, save space in your home gym, or brace yourself on the rack when performing dumbbell rows, the REP Fitness Dumbbell Storage Rack has your back. This rack is ideal for the REP Fitness Hex Dumbbells, but it will also work with the REP Fitness Urethane Dumbbells. The three-tier design offers a space-friendly footprint and still allows you to easily reach your weights during your workouts.

The shelves on this rack are 24 inches deep and offer 42.5 inches of usable shelf length. This rack is only ideal for either the five to 50-pound set or the 55 to 100-pound set of dumbbells, so if you go for the full five to 100-pound set, you will need to add another rack. Since this rack is made from high-quality 11-gauge steel, it can support up to 1,000 pounds — comparable to what you would find in public gym spaces. Having professional quality 11-gauge steel in your home gym for around $200 may just be the steal of the century.

Who Should Buy the REP Fitness Dumbbell Storage Rack

  • Anyone who wants a storage rack for their REP Fitness Dumbbells without completely compromising their workout space.
  • Customers looking for a high-quality product at a relatively low price will want to consider this storage rack.
  • If you’re someone who wants to move their workout outside, this rack is only 75 pounds, meaning you can easily move it by yourself after removing your dumbbells.

Who Shouldn’t Buy the REP Fitness Dumbbell Storage Rack

  • Anyone who doesn’t have the need for a full set of dumbbells won’t need this equipment and will be better off finding some adjustable dumbbells.
  • While $210 may be a good deal, this still may fall out of your price range. There are cheaper options available, but they may not be made of the same durable steel you’ll find on this rack.
  • Folks who need their rack to hold over 1,000 pounds will need to consider another option — that is the max weight for this storage rack.

Price

REP Fitness has the price for this storage rack on their website listed at $210. While this may seem expensive, you are actually getting a good deal for your home gym since this rack could truly last you a lifetime. However, if you were to purchase this rack on Amazon, you’ll notice the price is around $250.

While $210 may be expensive for dumbbell storage, the durability and stability you get from this product make it well worth the price tag. However, if you’re also buying a set of dumbbells at the same time, the extra $210 may seem like a lot to tack onto an already expensive purchase. However, there are storage racks of similar quality on the market that can be as expensive as $1,000, and since REP Fitness is offering their product at a fraction of that price, we believe the price here is warranted.

Overall Build and Quality

While this storage rack is pretty light — weighing only 75 pounds — REP Fitness does not sacrifice quality. The 11-gauge steel you find in this product is about the best you could ask for, oftentimes you find storage racks that are made from 14-gauge steel (the lower the gauge, the stronger the steel). The zinc-coated steel is meant to make assembly quick and easy, and the powder coat may add to the durability of the rack.

The dimensions are only 48” x 21.7” x 34.6” — with a footprint that small, you are able to tuck this storage rack in the corner of your home gym with ease. While that may be small for some, it still may not be ideal if you are someone who lives in a smaller apartment, or who is working out in a small space in general.

Features

While a storage rack may seem pretty straightforward, the REP Fitness Dumbbell Storage Rack has a few important features that are worth pointing out. The three-tier design cuts down on the footprint, and the deep shelf space is optimal for you to store your dumbbells. Plus, the one-inch lip on each shelf ensures they are secure when you aren’t using them.

Three-Tier Design

This three-tier rack offers a smaller footprint than a two-tier rack without sacrificing utility. You can store your dumbbells with ease at up to 1,000 pounds.

Shelf Space

With the REP Fitness Dumbbell Storage Rack, you don’t have to worry about the shelf spacing being too small to hold your dumbbells. Each shelf is identical with a depth of 24 inches, and a usage length of 42.5 inches, meaning you can place your dumbbells on whatever shelf you desire.

One-Inch Lip

Since each of the shelves has a one-inch lip, your dumbbells will easily stay in place when stored.

Finish

The REP Fitness Dumbbell Storage rack has a powder coat on the steel. This adds to its aesthetic, and may even add to its durability by protecting it from scratches.

Product Specs

The 11-gauge steel used to build this storage rack offers the same kind of durability you’ll find with public gym equipment, and if cared for properly, this rack could last a lifetime.

REP Dumbbell Storage Rack Base
REP Dumbbell Storage Rack Base

With a weight capacity of 1,000 pounds, you can store plenty of heavy dumbbells here, and since the rack itself is only 75 pounds, you should have no problem moving it around your gym when empty. This rack is also available in four different colors and has a powder coat.

11-Gauge Steel

11-gauge steel is the best quality you could ask for when it comes to at-home equipment. This is the same quality as the professional-grade steel you will often find in mainstream gyms. Some of REP’s competition actually offers dumbbell racks with 14-gauge steel (lower durability) at a more expensive price tag.

Weight Capacity

The REP Fitness Dumbbell Storage Rack is able to hold up to 1,000 pounds, making it a good option for lifters of pretty much every level — even those of elite strength who need heavy weight for their workouts. For example, the five to 50-pound set consists of 10 pairs of dumbbells equaling 550 pounds.

You could also hold dumbbells ranging from 55 to 85 pounds on this rack (seven pairs), or the 80 to 100-pound set (five pairs). Due to the amount of total weight in the five to 100-pound set, you will need another rack to properly house all of the dumbbells.

Dimensions

Thanks to the relatively small footprint of this storage rack, you can squeeze this into your home gym without reducing the space needed for your workout, even if you’re a little tight on space. This dumbbell rack is four feet in length, just under two feet wide, and just under three feet tall.

REP Dumbbell Storage Rack Loaded
REP Dumbbell Storage Rack Loaded

This offers a great, compact space to store a full set of dumbbells, but if you’re very tight on space (maybe you live in a studio apartment), this rack could still be a bit too large for you.

Portability

Without any dumbbells stored on this rack, it weighs 75 pounds. This makes it easy to move around your gym if you want to switch up the feng shui of your home gym or move your rack outside for the day.

Color Options

If you have a color scheme in your gym and want your dumbbell rack to match, REP Fitness may have you covered. This rack is available in Red, Blue, Matte Black, and Metallic Black.

Warranties

Your purchase comes with a limited lifetime warranty. This warranty ends if the product becomes unusable for reasons other than defects in the material or workmanship.

Places to Buy

You can buy the REP Fitness Dumbbell Storage Rack directly through the REP Fitness website, or through Amazon Marketplace.

Company Information

REP Fitness is known for offering high-quality products at an affordable price. Customers who are unhappy with their product are able to return it within 30 days of purchase for a full refund, as long as it’s still in usable condition. For more information, you can send an email to info@repfitness.com, or call their customer support team directly at 720-420-1731.

Final Word

The REP Fitness Dumbbell Storage Rack is a great option to consider when looking to store your dumbbells when you aren’t getting a lift in. The high-quality 11-gauge steel puts this product in the upper echelon of storage racks, and since it can hold up to 1,000 pounds, even the strongest of lifters can find usage out of this rack. It also has a fairly small footprint, which is great for someone who is already tight on space, but wants to add a dumbbell set to their home gym. However, if you’re in a small studio apartment, this may be too big to have in your home (which is where adjustable dumbbells come in handy).

While $210 is a good deal when it comes to the high quality you are receiving with this product, we also understand that cost may be out of your price range — especially when you consider how much a full set of dumbbells is going to cost you. This is still cheaper than a lot of competition, however, so if you have the space and the extra money, this rack can provide great organization and last plenty long enough to make the extra couple hundred dollars worth your while.

FAQs

Is the REP Fitness Dumbbell Storage Rack compatible with dumbbells from another company?

REP Fitness does not offer a guarantee that their rack will properly house dumbbells from another company. If you are wanting to mix your equipment, it’s best to measure your dumbbells, and make sure they will fit on the shelves.

How much does the REP Fitness Dumbbell Storage Rack cost?

This rack will run you around $210. While this might seem expensive, it’s actually a pretty solid deal considering it’s forged from 11-gauge steel. It’s also more affordable than what some competitors charge for their racks.

How many REP Fitness Dumbbell Storage Racks will I need for my dumbbell set?

It depends on how many dumbbells you have. This rack is able to easily hold a set of five to 50 pound dumbbells, but if you decide you want your set to range from five to 100 pounds, you will need a second rack.
