2021 CrossFit Open Workout 21.2 Results
The 2021 CrossFit Open continued with dumbbell snatches and burpee box jump-overs for workout 21.2 and the results are in. Following the announcement of 21.2 — titled “Youth vs. Experience” — on March 18, 2021, the 2020 CrossFit Games runner-up Samuel Kwant went head-to-head against the 2020 Games bronze-medalist and Rookie of the Year Justin Medeiros. They were the first two athletes to take on this repeat workout of 17.1 and they showed that years later, it is still quite a difficult challenge. Kwant’s score was 11:56 and Medeiros’s was 10:02.

Some of the notable names that finished just outside the top are 2020 CrossFit Games, bronze medalist, Kari Pearce in 23rd with a time of 9:41, Kara Saunders in 25th-place time of 9:42, Sam Briggs 35th-place 9:49, and Haley Adams 37th place 9:50.

The fourth-place finisher at the 2020 CrossFit Games, Noah Ohlsen, finished just outside the top 20 in 21st place with a time of 9:33. Björgvin Karl Guðmundsson scored the 25th ranking 9:39, Brent Fikowski placed 42nd with a time of 9:50, and Medeiros’s time of 10:02 put him in an eight-way tie for 80th.
Open Ahead
The name of CrossFit Open workout 21.3 is “Sibling Rivalry” and it will be announced on Thursday, March 25, 2021, at 12 p.m. PST. The announcement will feature all three Panchik brothers face-off. Eight-time Games athlete Scott Panchik will throw down against his brothers, three-time Games athlete Saxon Panchik and Spencer Panchik.

Top 10 Percent
The Quarterfinals will also be virtual. Those who finish in the top 10 percent of their respective continent at the conclusion of the Open qualify for their respective quarterfinal. The number of athletes that translates to for each continent is as follows:
