About Jake Boly, CSCS

Jake holds a Master's in Sports Science and a Bachelor's in Exercise Science. Jake formerly served as BarBend's Fitness and Training Editor.

Jake is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), who has spoken at state conferences about writing in the fitness industry and brand building.

Jake has published over 1,300 articles related to strength athletes and sports, powerlifting concepts, advanced strength & conditioning methods.

Prior to BarBend, Jake worked as a strength and conditioning coach for hockey and lacrosse players, a personal trainer, and a content writer at The Vitamin Shoppe's corporate office.

Jake competes in powerlifting in the 181-pound weight class, and considers himself a professional knee-rehabber after tearing his quad squatting.
